PSA: Parlor Social to perform at Playboy Jazz Festival 2018

Parlor Social is set to perform a full set of their speakeasy-soul/ prohibition funk original music on Day 2 of the 40th Annual Playboy Jazz festival (PJF) at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday June 10, 2018.  Other performers in this year's line up on Day 2 are The Ramsey Lewis Quintet, Jazmine Sullivan, Tower of Power, Hubtones: Freddie Hubbard’s 80th Birthday Celebration, The Count Basie Orchestra and Richard Bona.

The 40th anniversary of the Playboy Jazz festival will be a little bittersweet since its founder, Hugh Hefner, died at the age of 91 at the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills in September 2017. Hefner debuted Playboy magazine back in 1953 and started the Playboy Jazz Festival in 1959, kicking off the six-decade relationship between his world famous and award winning men’s magazine and the art of jazz. The fest has featured artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and countless others. While celebrating the pioneers of the genre, Playboy Jazz has also helped foster up-and-coming talent by showcasing emerging artists.

Tickets for PJF Day 2 are now on sale at the Hollywood Bowl box office and online HERE

In addition to the PJF, Parlor Social is also booked to perform at the Charlotte Jazz Festival on Friday April 13, 2018. More info and tickets HERE
