On Saturday January 27th, 2018, Parlor Social premiered their new musical revue 'The Rent Party' to a packed house at The Miracle Theater in downtown Inglewood, CA. The show featured a full live band with a three-piece horn section, emcee Mr. A.N.O.N performing as the landlord demanding his rent money from supporting actress Eva La Dare, all the while Parlor Social's lead singer Dessy Di Lauro throws a rent party to help her raise rent money.
The story line was written by Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award winning writer Ali LeRoi and award-nominated actress Eva La Dare.
The show also featured Assata Madison and Becca Nelson, members of famed female tap dancing troop Syncopated Ladies. Legendary tapper Chester A. Whitmore also made an unexpected special appearance.
The evening was capt off with a DJ set by Cutz Supreme with dancing and deep cuts.
