"Not so much ragtime revivalists as post-hip-hop ragtime redefiners, this duo takes the old-school showmanship of Cab Calloway and beefs up the catchy speakeasy jive with throbbing electronics, all the while adopting a heavy dose of neo-soul. The buzz also tells us that this is a must-see live act." The Montreal Gazette, July 2017
Dessy Di Lauro: Singer/songwriter
Ric'key Pageot: Producer/ Composer/ Arranger/ Keys/ Accordion

Keyboardist Ric'Key Pageot, who has accompanied Madonna for several years in shows, would not be surprised that the American undertakes another big world tour.
"When I started working with her, I thought that at age 50, she might stop touring to go to a residency somewhere. And then, 10 years later, she continues to give performances and surprise. "
“Got the Heebie Jeebies” is all fun, and the duo’s performance certainly got us smiling. Ric'key calls it "a speakeasy-soul, southern BBQ cook out, hip hop twang."
I want you to know about Dessy Di Lauro and Ric'key Pageo for one simple reason. They are very very good. Together this husband and wife duo are Parlor Social.
Parlor Social is thrilled to announce a new multi-year collaboration with Rough Trade Publishing and Bank Robber Music .
…fans were treated to a head-nodding, hip-hop twist of the jazz standard Sweet Georgia Brown” and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” by Parlor Social.
Visually and aurally arresting was Parlor Social, a group that described themselves as Speakeasy Soul – as if Cab Calloway, OutKast and Lauryn Hill had a baby (though this writer would switch out Hill for Teena Marie in that description).
Parlor Social, an L.A.-based 15-person unit, offered a time-warp blend of Harlem Renaissance music and hip-hop. The group showcased singer/songwriter Dessy Di Lauro and multi-instrumentalist Ric’key Pageot for songs such as Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” and “The Joint Is Jumping,” featuring tap dancers/backup singers Kayla Watson and Samantha Schultz, with Lopez joining in.
#Growns Parlor Social (Dessy Di Lauro and Ric’key Pageot) recently released another great offering of their unique brand music and style entitled “Got The Heebie Jeebies”.
Their music is distinctive – ragtime meets rap with large helpings of funk, soul and R&B – and their live performances and music videos are baroque, costumed affairs. (Think Dr. John meets Pink.)
We are happy to finally announce that the new single 'Got the Heebie Jeebies' is released today and it's on every major online music platforms. To celebrate our new release and upcoming show at the Playboy Jazz Festival, we are starting a contest to win a Playboy Prize pack
